Creating and Editing Issues
Creating an Issue
You can create an issue if you have a task that needs to be done, a bug that needs to be fixed or an improvement that you would like to suggest.
- To create an issue, you don't have to be logged in.
- Click the Submit an Issue link from the front page. Then select the project that you are interested in from the project drop-down box and click the Next button.
- You should then see the Create Issue page. On the Create Issue page, make the appropriate selections and fill in the Title and Description and the CAPTCHA answer at the bottom of the page and click the Save button.
- The issue should then appear in the list of issues for all projects.
Adding Comments and Attaching Files
If there is an issue with the status "awaiting feedback", then Awake Software may be waiting for your feedback if you are the client. To provide feedback, you can add comments or attach files to further explain questions on an existing issue. For this, you should have a login that has been assigned to you by Awake Software, and then you can do the following.
- Log in and then click the issues link on the top menu to get a list of all of the open issues.
- Click the link in the Summary column for the issue that you want to comment on.
- You should then see the full description for just that issue, including any open questions that are not yet resolved. On the right side of the page is a link that reads Jump to: Add new comment. Click that link
- You should see a form that again shows the details, but now with an area at the bottom for a Reply. You can fill in your reply comments and answers about any open questions for that issue. You can also upload a file if you like for further details.
- Then click the Preview button in about the middle of the page and iterate through the edit/preview steps until you are satisfied with your Reply. You should change the status to "reply made"
- When you are satisfied with the preview, then click the Save button in about the middle of the page to save your changes.
Awake Software can now respond to your feedback appropriately.
