Description

Since we are allowing multiple CPR courses per CPR class, then we need to determine if we are charging an individual per COURSE or per CLASS. This affects how all of the CPR elements work.

We are charging them per course.

I am assuming also, then, that unlike the massage sessions whose prices can vary per location, that these prices are constant per course, regardless of location. Also, I am assuming that this is the same for CEU courses - that the price is per CEU course (and not CEU class session) and that the CEU courses do not vary per location, but the prices are constant per course, regardless of location. Please verify. Thank you.

This is per email response from Mary on 10/8/2009:

The CPR prices are dependent upon whether the student is first time or renewal. For example, the cost for HCP renewal is $35, whereas if they let their card expire or it is their first time, the cost is $45. Right now it does not vary based upon location. Next year when we travel to different states it depends upon the market. I have not completed a market analysis. I imagine in most places it is pretty much the same.

CEU courses are $97 early registration, $125 regular registration and $135 at the door. This is the price mainly for licensed massage therapists. RN CEU prices are usually lower but it depends on the topic. The goal is to eventually have courses that include many different healthcare professionals all in the same class (RN, MD, PT, LMT etc.) at the same price. We will be constantly adding new occupations of healthcare professionals as we get approved to offer continuing education courses to them (OT, RRT, LMSW, etc).

The difference between the CPR and CEU search is that in addition to searching for courses based on location, date, topic, searchers will be looking for their occupation. On the old website the drop down menu had the different occupations listed. (RN, LMT, PT, MD etc.).

Let me know if I answered your question.

OK. For now it looks like there does not be location dependent price for CPR or CEU courses.

Just to make sure for CPR, though, is there an early bird/regular/late price structure for CPR courses or is that just for CEU?

These are answers to the questions per a phone conversation with Mary Turner on Oct. 26, 2009.

For the CPR courses, there is no dependence on time of signup, only whether they have a certification or not.
