Description

Signing up for a massage is not working yet.

What is needed here is a more explicit price structure for signing up for massages.
We are basing the analysis on this documentation:

2009
Frequency Cost per hour
Swedish Specialty
Our Location - Onsite

As Desired……………..…………………………………………….$ 65……………$85

Monthly Massage……………………………………………………$ 60……………$80

Bi-Weekly Massage………………………………………………….$ 55……………$75

Weekly Massage………………………………………………….….$ 50……………$70

8-Session Package………………………………………………….$400 ($50)………$560 ($70)

6-Session Package………………………………………………….$330 ($55)………$450 ($75)

4-Session Package………………………………………………….$240 ($60)………$320 ($80)

In the Comfort of Your Home – Outcalls

Weekly Massage…………………………………………………...$ 75………………$100

Bi-Weekly Massage……………………………………………..…$ 85………………$115

Monthly Massage………………………………………………..…$ 99………………$125

PRN…….……………………………………………………….….$125………………$150

8-Session Package………………………………………………….$600 ($75)…….....$800 ($100)

6 Session Package………………………………………………….$500 ($83)……….$660 ($110)

4-Session Package………………………………………………….$350 (87)………..$480 ($120)

Questions are, for example...

1. Do the 4-, 6-, or 8-session prices take precedence over the weekly, monthly or bi-weekly classes?

2. How many sessions do clients need to sign up for in order to get the lower rates for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly massages? Are there any other criteria that must be met?

3. If someone signs up for a 4-session package, then can they take those sessions at any time that is open from the therapist? Are there any other criteria that must be met?

I want them to be able to sign up for a massage at various locations like the CPR. Fitness Matters, Creatif Spa & Salon, or Sharpcrest. The prices differ at these places. We also have a monthly promotion where discounts are offered.

If they are requesting our therapist to come to their location they will need to complete the form similar to the CPR request for onsite training.

1. No they can purchase their massage either way. If they purchase the package they must pay in full and they can use it whenever they like. It expires after 1 year.
2. If they go with the weekly, monthly price structure they must click to agree to terms. For example if they select the weekly, bi-weekly or monthly rate massage the agreement is for 3 months minimum.
3. They can use the package anytime they like if therapist is available. They must in full and it is good for 1 year from date of purchase.

More questions about business rules...
1. Can prices also differ per massage therapist or are all massage therapists at a given location always going to use the same price sheet per that location?
2. For signing with a 4, 6 or 8 session package – do these need to be paid in advance or at the time of the massage? If at the time of the massage, then how should billing be done if they do not use all massages in the package during the one year?
3. For the weekly, bi-weekly and monthly massages – do these need to be paid in advance or at the time of the massage?
4. For the weekly, bi-weekly and monthly massages – does the client pay even if they do not have a massage? Would this be set up on a recurring payment (I believe that this would require an upgrade from your current PayPal account in order to allow recurring charges)
5. Does the client have to pay before they can schedule an online timeslot or can anyone schedule and then pay later?
6. Should the massage therapist be able to over-ride the records to say that a payment has been made (e.g., by cash, by check)? Should therapists only have this ability for their own clients or all clients? How are new clients handled in this regard? Would they always need to be assigned to a therapist?
7. When a client makes an appointment, can they say that they want it for a certain therapist or is it just per location? If per therapist, do they always have to pick a therapist in order to make an appointment?
8. Should a therapist be able to schedule a client or can the client only schedule themselves? If the therapist can schedule, can we assume then that payment would not need to be made at that time?
9. For the one time, ad-hoc massage - can these be walk-ins? Can they make an appointment ahead of time? If they can make an appointment ahead of time, do they have to pay at the time they make the appointment, or can they pay when they see the therapist?

These are answers to the questions per a phone conversation with Mary Turner on Oct. 26, 2009.

1. Can prices also differ per massage therapist or are all massage therapists at a given location always going to use the same price sheet per that location?

All massage therapists at a given location will be using the same price list

2. For signing with a 4, 6 or 8 session package – do these need to be paid in advance or at the time of the massage? If at the time of the massage, then how should billing be done if they do not use all massages in the package during the one year?

For all packages, they are paid for in advance.

3. For the weekly, bi-weekly and monthly massages – do these need to be paid in advance or at the time of the massage?

The customers sign a contract for these. If they do not show up, they are still billed. Billing is done at the time of the massage, but their credit card needs to be authorized so that they can be billed if they do not show up.

4. For the weekly, bi-weekly and monthly massages – does the client pay even if they do not have a massage? Would this be set up on a recurring payment (I believe that this would require an upgrade from your current PayPal account in order to allow recurring charges)

See answer to 3.

5. Does the client have to pay before they can schedule an online timeslot or can anyone schedule and then pay later?

The customer has to give a valid credit card to authorize at the time of making an appointment

6. Should the massage therapist be able to over-ride the records to say that a payment has been made (e.g., by cash, by check)? Should therapists only have this ability for their own clients or all clients? How are new clients handled in this regard? Would they always need to be assigned to a therapist?

Authorized payments by therapist should be allowed only on certain days per therapist. The example given was BMC Software, where one therapist (Therapist A) comes in on Monday and Wednesday and another therapist (Therapist B) comes in on Tuesday and Thursday. So the preferred method is to allow Therapist A to be able to set charges on Monday and Wednesday and Therapist B to set charges on Tuesday and Thursday. This will be according to an ongoing calendar and can only be over-ridden by Mary or someone in her role.

7. When a client makes an appointment, can they say that they want it for a certain therapist or is it just per location? If per therapist, do they always have to pick a therapist in order to make an appointment?

They should be able to designate a given therapist or a location.

8. Should a therapist be able to schedule a client or can the client only schedule themselves? If the therapist can schedule, can we assume then that payment would not need to be made at that time?

Yes, a therapist should be able to schedule a client by themselves, without payment.

9. For the one time, ad-hoc massage - can these be walk-ins? Can they make an appointment ahead of time? If they can make an appointment ahead of time, do they have to pay at the time they make the appointment, or can they pay when they see the therapist?

Yes, walk-ins are allowed. For appointments, see answer to 5.
